The inaugural 2017 Innovative Policy Conference brings together leading policymakers and social scientists to collaborate and explore how data and science can improve policy. Conference speakers will share examples of innovative policy projects and promising results in areas such as health, education, and criminal justice reform. We’ll discuss how policymakers can overcome barriers to data-driven decision-making and improve lives through more effective policy
The conference is hosted by RIIPL, an Innovative Policy Lab established at Brown University. The lab is a collaboration with The Office of the Governor of Rhode Island and is sponsored by the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs and the Laura and John Arnold Foundation
